RECREATION

Common Recreation Questions

What are your courts used for?

In our beer garden, we have  two courts each measuring 75 ft x 14 ft. In the summer, these courts are used for bocce ball and kubb and curling in the winter. Courts are used for leagues, open play or can be included in private event reservations for bags tournaments, curling and more.

Can anyone use the courts to play bocce ball or kubb?

Yes, the courts are available for the public to use and enjoy while at the brewery! However,  we host leagues throughout the year that take court priority. If you would like to use the courts, please ask your beertender for permission. If the courts are available, they will hold your ID and provide you with the necessary equipment. An adult (18+) must be present on the courts to supervise players who are 17 and under. After you finish playing, please return the equipment to the beertender to get your ID back.

When are the courts available to use?

Please see the dates of the leagues and tournaments (located on their page). Outside of these times, the courts are free to use. For bocce ball and kubb, availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Curling is available for paid reservations.

Recreational Leagues

Leagues have gained a lot of momentum, with some filling up even before public announcements. To manage this demand, we use a "four waves" system for team signups:

  • First wave: Teams that participated in the exact league last year get first priority and a grace period to sign up.

  • Second wave: Teams that have been in our leagues before receive a grace period to sign up.

  • Third wave: Those who sign up for our mailing list will be notified when the leagues open!

  • Fourth and final wave: The league is announced on social media and opens to the public.
